Hello my name is Cody Samford the pastor at Victory Baptist Church in Kerrville Tx. I am married to my lovely wife Kathryn Samford of almost 13 yrs. We have three wonderful children that the Lord has blessed us with. I grew up in a church home at a young age but never made my parents faith my own. I joined the Army after high school to take off and see the world. I was lost without Christ and about as far away as one could be from the Lord but His providential hand was watching over me through all of my mistakes and vain pursuits. After getting out of the Army a job opportunity opened in North Texas where I eventually ended up in Denton. My mother was desperately trying to get me to get back in church or at least find one in the area I could attend. I ended up visiting Central Baptist Church in Denton where I was saved during a revival meeting. It was not long after that I had met my wife and she was saved. We had dated several years both attending Central Baptist Church in Denton and were married in the church. We began serving in the church as youth leaders and eventually youth directors where we were called into the ministry full time........the rest is history I guess you could say!
